Jill has worked as a professional theatre, TV and film actress, voiceover and business roleplayer for over seventeen years.
Her career started in the first National Tour of the Olivier Award winning Return To The Forbidden Planet in which, as well as acting and singing she played trumpet, trombone, sax, drums, guitar and bass guitar. She has toured the UK extensively and played many of the top regional theatres around the country. Theatre includes a National Tour of Knife Edge for Hard Graft Theatre Company, Water Babies for the renowned Northern Broadsides and national tours of Brassed Off and Sweet Charity.
Her improv and instant character skills have seen her making a suprise appearance on Ant N Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway as an American Gorilla trainer in a 'wind up' on the boys she also appeared on Moscow TV 'clown' special as a 'typical British Tourist' with Slava Plounin of Slava's Snowshow fame.
Voiceover work has been for local radio adverts, character voices and narrations for museums and information services across the country.
Jill has worked for many high profile companies and local authorities both as a business roleplayer and in forum theatre situations. She has been a final assessment roleplayer for the National Professional Qualification for Headship and Early Years Professional Status for several years.
Her street theatre work for the world renowned Natural Theatre Company has taken her around the world appearing unexpectedly on street corners in Germany, France, Belgium, Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Japan, Norway, Denmark, Greece and most recently at the World Expo in Shanghai, China.
